Beagles are pack animals. Because of that instinct, they love being in a family as much as we love having them in ours.
Almost every feature of a beagle points to its ability to track a scent, but the pinnacle would be its nose. This is a nose that has 225 million scent receptors, which equates to a sense of smell up to 10,000 times greater than a human’s!
Beagles only grow to a max of about 35 pounds, which makes them great for smaller spaces like apartments.
