We received an urgent call about a sick dog living in a trash pile.

Homeless Husky-1I was told that Miley had been surviving here for many months.

Homeless Husky-2Homeless Husky-3We arrived at the Veterinary Care Center.

Homeless Husky-4Miley suffered from mange, parasites, bacterial infections and malnutrition. She needed medicated baths and treatment for all her wounds.

Homeless Husky-5Miley was pretty shut down. Her body needed time to heal.

Homeless Husky-6But on day three, she shared a kiss with me.

Homeless Husky-7A couple of weeks later she met Frankie. He was rescued from a drain pipe and was so scared of everything. Miley took Frankie under her wing.

Homeless Husky-8And they quickly became really good friends.

Miley patiently waited for months for her forever home. More than 500 adoption applications later, we all shed tears of joy as Toni Bua welcomed Miley Home.
