Shiba Inu is a hunting dog breed. A wonderful breed with a fox muzzle and a sly squinting gaze originally from Japan. It is considered one of the oldest breeds and was used in the olden days for hunting birds and small game. In a pack, they could hunt wild boar, deer, and bear.
Shiba Inu, like real hunters, are smart, courageous, hardy, balanced, but at the same time very independent. An active, cheerful, and the affectionate dog will be an excellent companion and favorite of all family members. They are unpretentious in maintenance and are devoted to the owner and the family in which they live.
