The Leonberger continues to be used as a worker’s dog and a companion dog in Germany, France, and Scandinavia. However, they are relatively rare in other countries.
The American Kennel Club formally recognized the Leonberger in 2010.
The Leonberger is a large-sized dog that has a cool and elegant physical appearance and presents a strong impression.
