As a result of this mixing, dogs were obtained that differ from other spaniels not only in their smaller stature but also in color.
It is believed that the ancestors of the breed are squat and long-haired avian dogs, which were used in hunting since ancient Greece.
Males of the English Cocker Spaniel reach 39-41 cm in height, and females – 38-38 cm. Their weight can vary between 12.5 and 14.5 kg.
