The first mention of this breed dates back to 1585, so Basset Hounds are considered one of the long-lived dogs.
Bassets should never be left alone for a long time – they cannot stand loneliness, begin to miss their master, and whine. Meanwhile, it should be noted that they have a rather low and loud roar.
Bassetts are able to win the love of almost any person because they have an amazing appearance and various positive character traits.
