The Doberman Pinscher is a medium-sized dog with clear, almost square body outlines. It is a beautifully built, muscular dog, capable of great speeds. The Pinchers have a royal bearing. It used to be considered necessary to dock the ears and tail of dogs, but now the legality of this procedure has been called into question. In many countries, it has already been banned. Dobermans in North America continue to dock their ears and tails. The tail is trimmed a few days after birth and the ears between the 7th and 9th weeks of life. This procedure was carried out to improve the hearing of the dog since the breed was originally intended for protection. Immediately after cupping, the dog was put on special bandages so that after the cartilage healed, the ears stood straight.
