It is difficult to find a dog with a lighter and more accommodating character than a Labrador Retriever. They are incredibly friendly and try to please the person in any situation. Aggression is completely alien to them, so there will be no problems with living in a house where there are other animals (including cats) and children of any age.
Originally, Labs were called St. John’s dogs, named after the capital of Newfoundland.

As their name suggests, Labrador retrievers are hunting companions and considered “gun dogs” due to their ability to retrieve hunted game, particularly fowl from water.

Their double-layered coat makes their fur perfect for whisking away wetness.

For a long time, the only acceptable color of the animal was considered black, the rest of the puppies were culled. 
In 1899, the fawn was first registered, and in 1930 – the chocolate Labrador Retriever. 
externally Labradors differ not only in informal types (English or American; old, classic, heavy, modern, and others), but also depending on whether you have a show dog intended for exhibitions and performances, or a “working” one.
