Muse of the poet. The famous Scottish poet Robert Burns had his own Border Collie pet named Luat. He adored the dog so much that his death inspired the writer to write one of the best poems “Tva Dogs”.
Did you know that these lovable hounds have been cast in dozens of movies and TV shows for decades? In fact, the breed’s movie roster includes the 1995 comedy-drama film “Babe”, as well as 2002’s American adventure comedy film “Snow Dogs” and 1999’s TV film “Animal Farm”, along with a role in the 1990s hit TV series, “Mad About You,” starring Helen Hunt and Paul Reiser.
Border Collies are geniuses. It’s no wonder the Border Collie is one of the smartest dog breeds around. In fact, they do make the list of the smartest dogs in the world.
