Shiba Inu is one of the oldest dog breeds from Asia. Archaeologists have discovered that the ancestors of the modern Shiba Inu were introduced to Japan more than two and a half millennia ago. During this time, they managed to adopt the mentality of their owners, so unusual for us.
Shiba Inu differ from most breeds precisely in their character, which, paradoxically, makes them look more like cats than dogs. The main feature is their independence from the owner and restraint in behavior and expression of emotions. These dogs are disciplined, clean, and intelligent. They are very smart and able to quickly understand the requirements of the owner.
