You need this for your dog soap
- 1 tsp neem oil
- 150g glycerin soap
- 1 tablespoon curd soap
- ½ tsp olive oil
- ½ tsp coconut oil
- silicone mold
- straw
- cord
- pot
- whisk
Good to know: Neem oil comes from the blossom of the nee tree. This tree is mainly found in East India and Bangladesh. What is special about neem oil is that it is a natural insecticide. The oil is not only used in plants, but also in animals. It fights fleas, ticks, mites, and lice. Neem oil can also be found in some cosmetic products for humans, as it has a healing effect, especially on skin diseases. However, it should be noted that only a small amount of the Neebaumöl is used, as the smell is not very pleasant for many.
This is how you prepare the dog soap
First, you have to cut off about 140 grams of glycerine soap. Then melt the soap in a saucepan or over a water bath. After this is done, the coconut oil and curd soap must be added. However, curd soap is not a must here. Finally, add the olive oil and neem oil as well. If you want to drown out the smell of the neem oil, you can add a little tea tree oil.
The next step is to pour the liquid into a silicone mold. When about a minute has passed, a straw can be inserted. Now you have to wait until the soap has cooled down.
When the soap is finally solid, it can be taken out of the mold and the straw removed.
Finally, slide a piece of cord through the hole and tie it at the end. The cord serves to ensure that the hand has a firm grip when the dog is shampooed.
